Jakarta (ANTARA) – Samsung dikabarkan bakal merilis ponsel pintar lipat tiganya Galaxy Z Trifold pada Oktober 2025 dan produksinya mungkin akan terbatas.

Kabar ini dilaporkan Gizmochina, Rabu, mengindikasikan bahwa perusahaan tampaknya tidak akan menunggu hingga akhir tahun untuk mendebutkan ponsel trifoldnya sesuai rencana awal.

Samsung mungkin merilis ponsel lipat tiga pertamanya itu dalam acara Samsung Unpacked Oktober 2025 dengan penjualannya dimulai bulan berikutnya.

Laporan ini pertama kali datang dari ET News yang merupakan media lokal Korea Selatan, yang juga mengungkapkan bahwa Samsung telah menetapkan angka produksi sekitar 50.000 unit untuk Galaxy Z TriFold.

Produksi terbatas ini akan memungkinkan Samsung untuk menilai respons pasar terhadap desain baru dan memitigasi risiko jika muncul masalah awal.

Alasan lain produksi ponsel lipat tiga ini dibatasi adalah untuk menghindari menggerus momentum penjualan Galaxy Z Fold7 yang diluncurkan pada Juli 2025 dan saat ini menunjukkan performa yang baik.

Untuk saat ini, ponsel lipat tiga ini diperkirakan hanya akan dijual di Korea Selatan dan China.

Galaxy Z TriFold akan memiliki layar lipat tiga berukuran 25,3 cm yang didukung oleh dua engsel lipat ke dalam, serta layar penutup berukuran 16,5 cm.

Pengaturan ini dinilai lebih tahan lama dibandingkan kompetitornya yaitu Huawei Mate XT Ultimate, yang sebagian layarnya dapat dilipat ke luar.

Ditenagai Snapdragon 8 Elite untuk Galaxy, perangkat ini dikabarkan akan mendukung pengisian daya nirkabel, pengisian daya nirkabel terbalik, dan konektivitas NFC.

Meskipun detail mengenai prosesor, konfigurasi kamera, RAM, penyimpanan, dan kapasitas baterai masih belum jelas, laporan menunjukkan bahwa Samsung telah memulai produksi massal.

Faktor bentuk lipat tiga ini akan menjadi uji coba generasi pertama bagi perusahaan, yang akan membentuk strategi perangkat lipatnya di masa mendatang bergantung pada adopsi konsumen.
